Marina and her Self(ies) is a series of 11 multiple-exposure analogue photographs capturing painter Marina Clemente intertwined with her own creations.
In a digital age where selfies reduce presence to mere bodies and fuel the need for instant validation, I challenge this trend through analogue film—an intentional, slow process that demands patience and presence.
Marina’s painted figures, born from her emotions, extend her identity, blurring the line between artist and artwork. This series invites viewers to see beyond appearances—to recognize individuals as creative microcosms shaped by what they bring into the world.
